Job Overview:
Tata Consulting Engineers Limited (TCE) is looking for an experienced BIM Structural Engineer to support the development of structural BIM models and documentation for large-scale infrastructure, industrial, and building projects. The candidate will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, coordinated, and constructible structural design output.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage detailed 3D structural models using Revit Structure and other BIM tools.
- Prepare construction drawings, general arrangements, sections, reinforcement details, and schedules.
- Coordinate structural models with architectural, MEP, and civil disciplines to ensure clash-free design.
- Participate in design reviews, clash detection meetings, and model coordination activities using tools like Navisworks.
- Ensure compliance with project BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and TCE’s internal modeling standards.
- Support engineers in modeling various structures including RCC, steel, and pre-cast systems.
- Extract accurate quantities and provide input for BOQs and cost estimation.
- Maintain proper documentation, version control, and drawing registers.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
- Strong understanding of structural systems, detailing, and construction methods.
- Familiar with international and Indian design codes (IS, ACI, BS, Eurocodes).
- Ability to interpret structural analysis results and incorporate design changes in models.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and time management skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in BIM modeling for structural systems.
- Experience in projects such as commercial buildings, infrastructure, bridges, industrial plants, etc., is a plus.
- Exposure to RC detailing, steel structures, and working in multi-disciplinary environments preferred.
