Job Overview:
S.W. Mone & Associates Consulting Engineers is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Structural Engineer to join our structural design team. This role involves creating coordinated 3D BIM models, generating detailed construction drawings, and collaborating across disciplines to support efficient structural design and documentation for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage BIM models for structural systems using Revit Structure and AutoCAD.
- Produce GA drawings, reinforcement detailing, and fabrication drawings for RCC and steel structures.
- Collaborate with architects and MEP teams to ensure clash-free, coordinated designs.
- Assist engineers in applying design inputs into BIM models, and modify as per design changes.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings, clash detection, and resolution using Navisworks.
- Extract quantities and schedules from BIM models to support estimation and construction.
- Maintain drawing documentation, revision control, and compliance with company BIM standards.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
- Understanding of structural systems, RCC detailing, and construction documentation.
- Familiarity with IS codes and structural design standards.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to model accuracy.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in BIM modeling for structural engineering projects.
- Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial projects is preferred.
- Knowledge of precast or post-tensioned systems is a plus.
