Job Overview:
Tata Consulting Engineers Limited is looking for a skilled AutoCAD Electrical Designer with strong technical knowledge and experience in electrical drafting and design. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in AutoCAD Electrical, combined with a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles to support project documentation, detailed schematics, and industry-specific design applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create accurate electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and circuit designs using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Interpret electrical engineering specifications and translate them into technical drawings.
- Coordinate with project engineers to ensure drawings align with project requirements, codes, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems into overall project plans.
- Revise drawings based on feedback and maintain version control and documentation consistency.
- Support the development of BOMs (Bill of Materials) and prepare drawings for fabrication and installation.
- Stay updated with the latest features and practices in AutoCAD Electrical for improved design efficiency.
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering drawings, design standards, and symbols.
- Familiarity with industrial or building electrical systems (power distribution, lighting, control panels, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work across teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or BE in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in AutoCAD Electrical design.
- Experience in engineering consultancy, infrastructure, or industrial projects is a plus.
- Relevant certifications in AutoCAD or Electrical Design are an advantage.
